From the moment we stepped in, Istanbul Restaurant was nothing but an absolute delight. Food is great and the vibe is better. I want to mention Zerkat for his hospitality and simply making it feel like home. I’m a regular and I wonder why I waited this long to put a review to them. I recommend this place to anyone who wants to have a good time!

Nice and spacious, great food! We had grill and Mediterranean menu. Wonderful service by Aisha and Amet. Not forgetting good mix of Music.

I recently visited Istanbul Finchley, and I was genuinely impressed. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, with a cozy, authentic vibe that makes you feel right at home. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, offering great service without being overbearing. Now, let’s talk about the pastry—absolutely delicious. Freshly made, flaky, and perfectly golden, it had just the right balance of crispiness and softness. You can really tell they care about quality and tradition. Whether you’re going in for a quick bite or a relaxed afternoon treat, their pastry is a must-try. One of the highlights of my visit was the chef’s special, which features a generous serving of Turkish lamb and chicken kebabs. The meat was incredibly tender, juicy, and packed with flavor—perfectly seasoned and grilled to perfection. You could tell it was made with real care and attention to detail. It’s the kind of dish that leaves a lasting impression. Highly recommend this spot if you’re in the area and craving something fresh, flavorful, and satisfying!

Food was absolutely top class plus the service was really friendly. This is definitely my new favourite Turkish cuisine

Ahmed gave our table of 16 ladies his best shot and was perfect. Also put on music for us to dance. Added birthday music appropriately when the cake got served. Plates etc were presented so we didn’t have to ask. The prices we feel are very reasonable thanks we all enjoyed our evening

Our server, Ayse, greeted us with a friendly smile and guided us through the menu with great enthusiasm. She was knowledgeable about the dishes and took the time to explain the origins of the ingredients and the traditional cooking techniques used. It was clear that the staff passionate about sharing Turkish culture and cuisine with their guests. The portion sizes are fairly big and the food is very filling. This is a must try!!!!

We had a family meal last weekend at this beautiful gem. They have such a great selection of dishes on their menus which is suitable for everyone. I had the Beyti which was full of flavour. My partner had the seabass which was so fresh and cooked so well. The mezes I have to mention was delicious. and if you are looking for a sweet touch to your meal their San Sebastian cheesecake (which is new on the menu) is exactly as the ones in Istanbul. Highly recommened.
